CXO Security & Risk Summit: Format

12 – 14 October 2026 • Ireland

Summit Format

We deliver our Summit via:

The CXO SecRisk Debate

The debate will be held in a parliamentary style where we have 2 panels, 1 panel of 2 executives ‘FOR’ the motion and 1 panel of 2 executives ‘AGAINST’ the motion.

Our Speaker of the house serves as both the judge and arbiter of the rules during the session.

One team represents the House, while the other represents the Opposition. During the session, each member of the 2 teams is given the opportunity to present their argument to the audience.

Once each member has had their say, the audience has the opportunity to vote with their feet by crossing from one side of the ‘house’ to the other, either for or against the motion, the side with the most votes win!

Workshops

Focused on interaction the CXO Security & Risk summit workshops are innovative sessions that address relevant and timely topics for our community.

We make a big effort to deliver workshops which allow the audience to engage in intensive discussion and activity on the subject chosen by our workshop host.

The session format is based on inclusion and the host may set time limited group tasks to support the message.

The sessions are a move away from the power point presentations which are so common in larger conferences which allow for little interaction or engagement from the audience.

The intimate gathering at the CXO Security & Risk Summit creates a culture of open dialogue, it gives everyone a voice and the opportunity for individuals to share their ideas, insights and experiences, this ensures maximum value for all and drives stronger outcomes.

1-2-1 Business Meetings

The one-to-one business meetings are an opportunity for our partners to meet with our CXO Community members in a 1-1 private setting to discuss key challenges and opportunities that our partners can support with from a technology or business perspective.

The meetings are 30 minutes in length. The CXO team will ensure that all meetings are 100% relevant as our partners will choose these meetings based upon the information provided within the CXO Intelligence report which outlines the key investment priority areas for each end-user and priority projects that they are looking for support with.

All our attendees are looking to accelerate business conversations, therefore, there is huge benefit for both partners and guests in getting the most out of the 30-minute meetings and setting a clear roadmap for follow ups.

CXO Think Tanks

There are 14 Think Tank Challenges taking the form of an open roundtable.
Each Think Tank is labelled with a specific Data topic. Guests choose 3 out of the 14 think tank challenges to join based on the topics that are most relevant and interesting to them.

Each of the 3 Think Tank Sessions are 30-minutes in length. Guests will attend their first session and will be joined by 10 other executives who have also chosen that topic, so straight away they are sitting with like-minded peers. At this point a member of the Advisory Committee who facilitates the Think Tank and will present the table with a laser focused challenge based on the high level topic.

As a team both vendors and end-users work together to come up with a solution or solutions for the challenge and a potential business impact.

CXO Panel Discussions

The CXO Panel discussions are very interactive, taking the form of a traditional panel discussion with a moderator and 3 -4 panelists this session takes place in front of the whole audience. Our panelists make up our advisory committee who have taken their time to help shape the summit agenda and content.

The key difference with the CXO panel discussion to others is that our panel are not only there to answer questions but they will be prepared to ask multiple questions from those in the audience, as this is an intimate group they will know their audience and certainly call upon them with some hard hitting questions.

This session is filmed and a video will be available within the post event report for all guests to reflect on.

This is not a sit a listen session, so be prepared to be called upon by our CXO panelists within this session if you are in the audience, you are in the discussion!
